Shirley Gooch passed away March 28, 2013 at the University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was 73.
Born March 28, 1940 in Casey County, she is the daughter of the late Owen and Ethel Martin Napier. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two son, Johnny Wayne Gooch and Frankie Lynn Gooch both of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Pamela Crowley of Kings Mountain and Tammy Renee Horn of Stanford; eight grandchildren; Jessica Luttrell, Jamie Gooch, Jennifer Gooch, Tyler Horn, Jacob Rayborn, Cody Gooch, Jeremi Luttrell and Hayley Crowley; two great-grandchildren, Jared and Jayden Murrell; and three sisters, Edith Snow and Faye Rowland both of Kings Mountain and Darlene Greer of Middelburg.
In addition to her parent, she is preceded in death by a son, James M. Gooch; two brothers, Orville Napier and Glen “Big Boy” Napier, and sister, Naomi Austin.
Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Sunday March 31, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial is at K.P. Hall Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
